Pneumatic Rotary Actuator

Pneumatic Rotary Cylinder Actuator is a pneumatic actuating element that uses the compressed air to drive the output shaft to do the reciprocating movement in a certain range of angles. Used for turn-pull, overturn, sort, clamp of object, opening and closing of valves, robot arm movements and others. Pneumatic Rotary Cylinder is divided into pinion and-rack type, piston type and vane type.
Vane type Rotary Air Cylinder has the advantages of small volume, light weight, high manufacture precision, difficult sealing and leakage is large, and the dynamic seal contact area is large, much friction loss of the seal, low efficiency, less than 80%. Therefore, the application is limited, generally only in place where the installation is restricted, such as rotation of jig, opening and closing of valves and table indexing and so on.
Piston type Pneumatic Rotary Actuator makes the reciprocating movement of the piston into the swing movement of the output shaft through the mechanism.
Pinion and-rack type Pneumatic Rotary Actuator is rotated by the rack connected to the piston, the piston is only for reciprocating linear motion, the friction loss is small, the gear transmission efficiency is high, the Pneumatic Rotary Cylinder efficiency can reach about 95%.
