Main points of pneumatic system maintenance

(1) Ensure the supply of clean compressed air.
Compressed air usually contains impurities such as water, oil and dust. Water will corrode pipes, valves and cylinders; oil will deteriorate rubber, plastics and sealing materials; dust will cause valve failure. Choosing a suitable filter can remove the impurities in the compressed air. When using the filter, the accumulated liquid should be removed in time. Otherwise, when the accumulated liquid approaches the baffle, the air stream can still roll up the accumulated liquid.

(2) Ensure that the air contains proper amount of lubricating oil.
Most air cylinder actuator and control elements require proper lubrication. If the lubrication is poor, the following faults will occur: 1. insufficient thrust of cylinder due to the increase of friction resistance, valve heart failure; 2. air leakage due to the wear and tear of sealing materials; 3. damage and malfunction of components due to rust. Generally, the lubrication method is spray lubrication by the oil mist sprayer, and the mist sprayer is usually installed after the filter and the pressure reducing valve. The fuel supply of the oil mist should not be excessive, usually every 10 m3 of free air to supply LML of oil (that is, 40-50 drops of oil). One way to check for good lubrication is to find a clean sheet of white paper near the exhaust port of the reversing valve, which indicates good lubrication if the valve has only very light spots on the white paper after three to four cycles of operation.

(3) Maintain the tightness of the pneumatic system.
Leakage not only increases the energy consumption, but also leads to the decrease of the supply pressure, and even causes the air cylinder actuator components to work abnormally. Serious air leaks can be easily detected when the pneumatic system stops running; minor air leaks can be detected by instruments or by soap spraying.

(4) Ensure the sensitivity of moving parts in pneumatic components.
The compressed air discharged from the air compressor contains compressor oil particles with a particle size of 0.01-0.08 micron. At the high temperature of 120-220 C, the oil particles will oxidize rapidly. After oxidation, the oil particles will become dark and sticky, and gradually solidify from the liquid to the sludge. Such particles below m level can not be filtered by ordinary filters. When they enter the reversing valve, they attach themselves to the valve center, gradually reducing the sensitivity of the valve, and even causing action failure. In order to remove the sludge and ensure the sensitivity, the oil mist separator can be installed after the filter of the pneumatic system to separate the sludge. In addition, regular cleaning valves can also ensure the sensitivity of valves.

(5) Ensure that the air cylinder actuator has the proper working pressure and speed.
When adjusting working pressure, the pressure gauge should be reliable and accurate. When the pressure relief valve and throttle valve are adjusted well, the pressure regulating valve cover or the locking nut must be fastened to prevent loosening.

Analysis of types and characteristics of OSP Rodless Cylinder

The OSP Rodless Cylinder has a rope cylinder, a steel belt cylinder, a mechanical contact cylinder and a magnetic coupling cylinder. They do not have the rigid piston rod of the ordinary cylinder, but use the piston to connect the external actuator directly or indirectly, and follow the piston to realize the reciprocating linear motion directly or indirectly. The OSP Rodless Cylinder has the advantages of simple structure and saving installation space, and is especially suitable for small cylinder diameter and long stroke occasions.

Mechanical contact rodless cylinder has similar advantages as rope cylinder, but mechanical contact rodless cylinder occupies less space and does not need to set up anti-rotation mechanism. The load and the piston are connected by sliders moving in the cylinder groove. The radial and axial loads must be paid attention to in use. In order to increase the bearing capacity, the guiding mechanism must be added.
